Thirty Books of the Bible

There are thirty books of the Bible in this paragraph. Can you find them?

This is a most remarkable puzzle. It was found by a gentleman in an airplane seat pocket, on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu, keeping him occupied for hours. He enjoyed it so much, he passed it on to some friends.

One friend from Illinois worked on this while fishing from his john boat. Another friend studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine Taylor, a columnist friend, was so intrigued by it she mentioned it in her weekly newspaper column.

Another friend judges the job of solving this puzzle so involving, she brews a cup of tea to help her nerves. There will be some names that are really easy to spot. Thats a fact. Some people, however, will soon find themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not necessarily capitalized.

Truthfully, from answers we get, we are forced to admit it usually takes a minister or scholar to see some of them at the worst. Research has shown that something in our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have in seeing the books in this paragraph.

During a recent fund raising event, which featured this puzzle, the Alpha Delta Phi lemonade booth set a new sales record. The local newspaper, The Chronicles surveyed over 200 patrons who reported that this puzzle was one of the most difficult they had ever seen.

As Daniel Humana humbly puts it, “the books are all right here in plain view hidden from sight.” Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown.

One revelation that may help is that books like Timothy and Samuel may occur without their numbers.

Also, keep in mind, that punctuation and spaces in the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete really well against those who claim to know the answers. Remember, there is no need for a mad exodus.

There really are 30 books of the Bible lurking somewhere in this paragraph waiting to be found.

Bianca’s Birthday

Bianca turned 4 on 9th Feb – This is a picture of Nathan at her party at Ms Kay’s along with a thank-you card we received from her today …

Bianca's Party

(Our Nathan is centre, referred to as “Nathan V” – To his right is “other” Nathan)

Gingy

Gingy

“Run Run Run as fast as you can … You can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread man” – Nathan has a whole story about this Gingerbread man (referred to as Gingy) and how he ran away from everyone and how “the fox did eat him after he stood on his tail … and then his back … and then his head … and then his ears … and then his mouth and then he did eat him, ha ha”

Terribly cute!

Happy (Belated) Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day

Nathan woke us up late on Sunday night saying his tummy was sore … He proved it as well as we watched his dinner disappear down the toilet. He had a very high fever so Angela and I decided to keep him at home. But about 9am he still hadn’t recovered so Angela took him to our family doctor, Dr Robert Erasmus.

“Nathan has gastro”, was the diagnosis and the prescription was some Tylenol Syrup (for the fever) and Pocardi Sweet, or as Nathan calls it, “Special Juice the Doctor gave me” to rehydrate him. Only allowed to drink that and water. and some toast with Bovaril or Yogurt to eat.

Nathan was a good boy and only ate and drank what he was told to … He stayed in bed yesterday (Tuesday) as well, but seemed fine and his fever hadn’t returned since it broke late Monday evening.

This morning, as Angela and I dropped him off at Ms Kay’s he ran in and gather our “goodies”, which we had missed out on ’cause he was ill. We go this loverly plate decorated with “Happy Valentines Day” for the house. I got a plant, in a pot specially decorated with heart stickers etc. It’s in my office at work. Angela got a specially decorated heart-shaped box with a chocolate.

The best gift though were the loving hugs and kisses we got as Nathan waved us good-bye, shouting “I LOVE YOU!”

Nathan’s Catapiller

Catapiller

Ms Kay is still doing “Nature” as a theme with Nathan and his friends at playgroup – Yesterday they made this beautiful catapiller … Nathan (as you can see) is very proud.

Nathan is also very happy to be back at school, having missed it for two days due to his illness … He seems all better now

Happi Anni’

4 years … 48 months … 1461 days … 2 wonderful children … one funeral … three countries … five homes … and an infinite ammount of happy times …

And that’s just the story so far – Thank you Angela for these wonderful four years of marriage

Love you, and grateful praise to God for the many blessings I have in you

Roy

Nathan has Tonsillitis

Last night Nathan didn’t sleep too well – We woke up at around 11pm and was obviously not healthy – He had a fever of around 39 so chance of him going to school today were rather slim.

Angela and Nathan slept in a little as can be expected after the rough night we had while I “zombied” to work …

Dr Erasmus saw them just af noon and diagnosed Nathan has having Tonsillitis – Nathan was prescribed some Anti-biotics and Brufen for the fever, which only dropped below 39 a few minutes ago.

Please pray for our little boy, and if you read this in time, also that we all get some rest this evening.

Yours in Him

Roy, Ang and Nahan

Traffic

Here I am, sitting in the bus listening to my WOW: World of Worship – Red mp3s and glad to be a passenger, as I’d hate to be driving in this rough traffic :-)

P.S. We haven’t moved more than 5 meters in the past 5 minutes

Mud pies!

At school this week the theme is “Nature” – In celebration of this Nathan made this mud-pie, with rock, leaf and flower filling yesterday … Mmmm?!
