Sickness and Medicine

As I sit here patiently waiting for the relief painkillers can bring along with the healing I’ve been promised will come from my anti-biotics, I wonder why they can’t invent a drug that’ll do both, sinusitus suffers in particular would be very appreciative, I’m sure …

And while they’re at it: Please make it so you don’t have to take it on an empty stomouch – I’m taking the medicine ’cause I feel sick, I don’t want to eat, cause I feel sick, but I need to eat to take the medicine … aargh!

As I reflect on this, and also on Ephesians 3:16-19 it’s all too clear my “outer man” is fading away – I pray I don’t loose the growth this illness may have on my “inner man” …

    Dear Roy

You have been fading away from the moment you were born. But praise God … as this body fails so the real you is getting ready for living with the King in His presence!

    Love

    Dad
