Hexbug in a Megablock Maze

Nathan and Luke have been built a maze for Roy’s Hexbug to run through … pretty cute!

Cute conversation with Luke

On the way to Fun Square this morning, I had a pretty cute conversation with Luke (who’ll only be 3 in a lil’ over a month)

Roy:  Luke, do you know where Nathan’s toy lion is?
Luke: Yes … it’s gone (very proud smile)
Roy: … and do you know where it went?
Luke: Yes … to Africa, all Lions go from Africa (continued proud smile)

Luke turns two …

Although only his second birthday, Luke is again a-traveling for his Birthday. Last year it was Nebraska, this year, Pretoria, South Africa.

I had to return to Dubai, so missed it, but Angela uploaded these pictures of the little party they had to celebrate – Benefit is that (again) his Wuvie and Grandma are celebrating it with him.

We pray our Lord will continue to bless Luke, and richly grow His spirit within him

Luke Art

This morning Luke wanted to “Colour” and here’s the result – His circles are looking very rounded and he seems to have a pretty good understanding of the various different usages of colour – Not bad for our little 20 month old :-)

Cupboard full o’ Luke

We’ve been stocking our cupboards … and so has Luke (with himself) *smile*

Pic of the Day

Mr Mischief

Today while Angela was busy in the kitchen, and the boys were apparently playing nicely in their room, she started hearing the printer going … Wondering what it might be she discovered this …

Mr Mischief

Boys all down for the count …

Luke is teething and has been sick most of last week. He had a very high fever on Friday which Angela managed to Rear-end (*grin*) with modern medicine and control. We only went to the doctor yesterday, and he said: “Too late, Luke seems to be over the worst”, but his nose will most likely continue running like the tap is has been ’till he’s 5 years old or something…

We have to monitor Nathan though (Doc’ said); He has a cough and sore/red throat and if it get’s worse we have a script fot some Anti-Biotics to start him on tomorrow or perhaps Thursday.

I was off work today and yesterday, having started on Anti-B’s after the family visit to the doctor yesterday (brought on mostly by my aching head and dry, irritating cough). It’s the usual case of sinus related flu, bit of phlegm in the lungs …

Angela was just SO wonderful in taking care of us three, these past two days and the rest certainly has put me back on the road to recovery – Will see how first day back at work is tomorrow (assuming I feel as well tomorrow morning as I do now) …

Luke at Kay’s

Lukes Certificate for Good ListeningLuke has been going to Kay’s for a month now (Since 1st September) and we can already see how’s he’s developing for it – Kay handed Angela this certificate for Luke’s good listening abilities during class and playgroup time, which makes us really proud ’cause he is the youngest in the group.

HLukes Finger Paintsere’s also the first “Take home Art” of Luke’s – Some hand-prints he made earlier in the week. It is really sweet asking him about it at home. When we hold the picture out in front of him, and he will pat down on it with his hands, as if showing us how he made it – Terribly cute! (Not too bad for our lil’ 14 month old we think)

Seventh Toothday …

Ninth Tooth Last week Friday we had an afternoon at the pool, which Luke enjoyed immensely – He loved simply splashing the water and getting it all over himself.

However, since then he’s had a runny nose which has had us concerned – So much so that Angela took him to the doctor today. Doc’ Bernard said not to worry, just part of growing up …

But then Angela noticed something to the left of his bottom two teeth … Yup, now Luke has 7 teeth. (Click on the image for a fully screen tooth chart)

Luke and Nathan

Luke TeethLuke SmileLuke is 9 months old today, and from these few pictures you can see all six his teeth. Our personal favorites were the top two eye-teeth which erupted after the bottom two – We’ll miss his little “Dracula Smile” which will fade as his newly aquired top-center teeth grow to close his current top-center gap.

Nathan SmileLuke is a really happy smiley little guy, as you can clearly see, but Nathan is  also not one to shy away from advertising his pearly whites.  Can’t believe Nathan is almost 6 years old – Feels just like yesterday we were celebrating his ninth month and sixth tooth, and eagerly awaiting him to start walking … My how quickly time flies!

Luke – 2 months old and happy ’bout it …

Nathan watching over Luke

In this picture Nathan is watching over his brother, Luke, who’s playing on the carpet … Isn’t Nathan just such a good Big Bro’ ?! (Daddy’s feet are in the background too)

Luke Going Solo

Luke going Solo

“Kids of today, just want to be independant!” Here you can see Luke at three weeks old taking matters into his own hands, holding his own bottle and feeding himself … “What’s that Luke … No you can’t borrow the car keys, wait ’till your first birthday!” :-)

What’s in a name?

Ok, so here’s the explaination:

Luke – From the word lucius, which means “to bring light”
Joseph – Ancient Hewbrew, meaning “God will add”
Verrips – Didn’t have a choice ’bout this one :-)

Ready for Theatre

Aaargghh

Mmmpf – It’s not easy waking up at 5:15am …

‘parently Italy won the World Cup on penalty shoot-out after staying 1-1 all through the second half and extra time, which makes me glad for going to sleep when I did and not staying up … Off the hospital we go *Yawn*

Excitement building …

‘Twas the night before Christmas … well, not quite Christmas, but definetly to do with a much anticipated birth :-)

All the bags are packed, and Angela has had her last drink before the pre-aneasthetic fast. Off to bed we all go, while the rest of the world watches the Soccer World Cup Final between France and Italy …

We have to be up at 5am tomorrow and at the hospital by 6, ready for the ceasarian which presently is scheduled for 9am.

Ooooh, we just can’t wait … but gotta get some sleep now (half-time score is 1-1) … Sleep tight all!
